A serious crash closed Route 49 in Cumberland County, authorities said.

The crash occurred at about 10:20 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 28 westbound near Route 671 (Union Road) in Maurice River Township, according to the New Jersey Department of Transportation.

All lanes remained closed at about 1:20 p.m., 511nj.org reported.
